Julie & Peter's Winter Wedding

I met Julie, Peter and their wedding planner Livia Pope last summer. Livia had seen my work on Wedding Wire. I was so excited to be a part of Julie and Peter's Rocky Mountain winter wedding, in Manitou Springs Colorado. We kept in touch over the months using Pinterest, to keep each other up to date on details, and any new inpirations or ideas. I love pinterest, it makes sharing, and organizing ideas so easy.

When I arrived at the Cliff house, on new years eve, Julie and her bridesmaids were begining to get ready. The bride had her make-up professionally done, she looked flawless.

The groomsmen put on their winter themed pinecone boutonnieres, and the bride and groom checked over thier personalized vows.

Julie entered the room escorted by her father, while the song from the movie Princess Bride (I love that movie) played in the background. Their family and friends from all over the country shared in the touching candle ceremony. Peter couldn't wait to kiss the bride! He jumped the gun and his natural reaction was postponed by the officiant. Their first kiss as husband and wife was the longest kiss I've ever seen.

After the wedding ceremony we had a few hours before the reception to explore the cute downtown Manitou Springs with snow.

Meanwhile, back at the Cliff House, all the wedding reception details were being beautifully coordinated. I loved all the lighting and decore that was brought in. The hot chocolate favors were well thought out, and hit the spot later in the evening. One of my favorite parts about weddings... The CAKE! This pretty and delicious cake was made by Linda Cloutier, of Iced and Dazzle.

A great way to start off 2014... Dancing, Toasts, a celebration of LOVE and the New Year
